How does it work?

Rooted in best practices for leadership development from Amanda’s 20 years of experience as a social change coach and consultant, the Women’s Leadership Incubator provides you with holistic support, coaching, and accountability to go big in your leadership. Here’s how it works:

1. You identify your leadership goals.

At the beginning of the program, you work individually and with the group to create 1-2 goals that you want to focus on. You'll also meet with Amanda during a one-on-one for a breakthrough coaching session to explore your goals, vision for leadership, possible barriers and ways past them.

2. You get bimonthly support & accountability from your group for 3 months in LIVE group sessions.

This is where the magic happens. Facilitated by Amanda, these live group sessions are your regular space to workshop challenges with your group, share your wins, face your fears, learn new skills, and receive coaching. You gain a personal think tank of advisors and champions that help you get to where you want to go.

3. You get regular video coaching from Amanda using Voxer

Maybe you hit a bump in the road and can't wait for the next group session. Or you just need a little extra encouragement when you fee stuck. Amanda supports you with regular video coaching for pressing challenges during the 3 months.

4. Optional Bonus: You get matched with a learning partner.

For those who want additional networking and support, you can opt-in to be matched with a learning partner or partners from your group. You choose together how you want to meet and when, with guidance from the Incubator.

AND you will have access to recordings to all live group sessions, resources, tools and best practices we cover so that you can go back to your takeaways exactly when you need to.

This is great! I'm ready to apply now!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ

When is it happening?

The second cohort of the Women's Leadership Incubator is launching in fall 2022. Applicants will receive updates via email on specific dates beginning summer 2022. Make sure you've filled out the application to receive updates!

What is the time commitment?

During the 3-month program, we ask you to make a regular minimum commitment of 2 hours/week in support of your leadership development and goals. You will use that committed time to:

  • Participate in the 2x/month LIVE zoom sessions, individual coaching and Voxer video coaching with Amanda.
  • Put into practice your action steps from your peer-coaching sessions and goal setting.
  • Complete the occasional prep or post work for the LIVE group sessions.
  • You are welcome to put in as much time as you want, of course! 2-hour commitment per week is critical for taking this work forward.

I’m interested in doing this with a friend/colleague/teammate. Would that be ok?

Absolutely! If you have a colleague, friend or teammate that you want to do this with, the program is a great fit. You will be able to develop a shared language and skill set with one another.

I would like to ask my organization to pay for my participation as professional development. Do you have material I can provide that outlines the goals and outcomes of this program?

Definitely! We encourage all participants to use professional development funds to pay for this program. Please be in touch if you need documentation to show your employer or have question about how to go about doing this.

Do I get to work with Amanda one-on-one?

Yes! In addition to the important work happening in your six LIVE group sessions, you will work with Amanda one-on-one during your individual coaching session at the beginning of the program AND you have regular Voxer video coaching throughout to get support on questions/challenges specific to you.

What is Voxer?

Voxer is a free app that turns your phone or computer into a walkie-talkie. Using Voxer allows you to directly contact me in a private channel just for you, so that you can share ideas, ask questions, or get specific advice/coaching. Voxer enables you to reach out when you need the support and have a few minutes here or there, so you don't have to wait for our next group session if something comes up.

How do I know it's for me?

  • If you are in a position of leadership or influence in your organization and are ready to commit to taking your leadership to the next level, this is for you.
  • If you are ready to commit 2 hours/week for 12 weeks to go for your goals, this is for you.
  • If you are excited to deepen your reflection and coaching skills in a group program with other inspiring women leaders, this is for you.

Still not sure if this is it’s the right fit? Let’s chat – schedule a call with Amanda so she can address your questions.

What if I can’t attend the live group sessions?

We ask that you make the commitment to attend all 6 LIVE group sessions and clear your schedule to make that possible. However, we also know that life and work happen! All sessions are recorded and you will be able to watch a missed session on your own time.

If you know in advance that you will miss more than 1 group session, it may be better to wait for the next Incubator.

What's the structure for each session?

While the content will vary each LIVE session, the structure remains relatively the same. These key ingredients are integrated into the way we work together:

  • Resiliency and self-care practices
We will explore different mindfulness, movement, and grounding practices to help us settle in, get present and focused for our important work together.
  • Checking in on your goals
You will have exciting wins and also hit bumps in the road as you move forward. We want to hear about all of it! You will have a chance in every session to share wins, appreciations and challenges.
  • Leadership training
What got you here, won’t get you there! We integrate frameworks, exercises and training rooted in best-practices for going after your goals, including: Setting purposeful goals; Navigating your inner critic; Leading/influencing across difference and power; Cultivating self-care and sustainability. Other topics will be included based on the interests of the group.
  • Peer-coaching
Half of the fun is being able to learn from the incredible experiences and smarts of women in the group! We use peer coaching during our bi-monthly group sessions to support you in addressing the challenges and questions that surface along your leadership journey. You will both share your wisdom and also gain from the collective smarts of all the incredible leaders in your group.
  • Action planning
We are invested in your success. Every session is an opportunity to reflect on what’s working, what’s getting in your way and what’s the next step that you want to take to move forward on your goals.
This looks great! I'm ready to sign up now.

What Clients Say:

"Amanda brings out the best in people and is so fun to work with! I walked away from my sessions with Amanda thinking in fresh ways, with greater conviction and perspective. As a result, I got clear on my vision and purpose for leadership in my work, and had difficult conversations with a greater sense of confidence and compassion then before. There were many times I felt stuck in my leadership and found myself counting down the days until I had another coaching session. Jump in and work with Amanda! You won't be disappointed."

Ellie Axe

Director, Story Starters

"Amanda will arm you with concrete skills to be your most bad-*ss self! I hired Amanda as a coach because I wanted the clarity to do what I needed to excel as a leader and help my organization thrive. I felt like I was self-sabotaging my schedule. As a result of coaching, I have more clarity and confidence. Amanda is the best cheerleader you’ll ever have!"

Alison Friedman

Executive & Artistic Director, Carolina Performing Arts

"I hired Amanda to help me develop a plan for some specific sticky situations that I had. She helped me find my voice as a leader. Amanda has a way of making me feel seen, heard and validated, while at the same time lovingly putting up a mirror and pushing me in healthy ways so that I can grow. It’s really helpful to have a coach be a guide, and it feels like I have forward motion and movement toward the goals I’m trying to work on."
